All participants completing the training course will receive an AFDO Seafood HACCP Training Certificate recognized by the FDA. Attendance during the entire course is required for successful completion. This 3-day basic Seafood HACCP Training course will be conducted by the Hawaii Seafood Council (Dr. John Kaneko) to help the Hawaii seafood industry meet FDA Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Training Requirements.
This course includes 3 days of training, the HACCP Training Manual and the FDA Seafood Hazards Guidebook. Light morning and afternoon refreshments provided. LUNCH ON YOUR OWN. Please bring your lunch. Lodging and other expenses are not included.
COVID measures? The following measures will be maintained for the safety of the trainees, the trainer and the company employees where the course will be held,
- Class size is restricted and the training room is large enough for social distancing.
- Masks will be worn by all at all times while in training room and in the host building.
Payment? The website registration process will take credit card information via PayPal. (Note: You do not need a PayPal account to submit payment) If you would like to pay by check, send us an email at info(at)hawaii-seafood.org with the following information: 1) Company, 2) Name(s) of the participant(s), 3) Telephone and 4) Email. Then mail a check payable to Hawaii Seafood Council and mail to 1130 N Nimitz Hwy., Suite A-263, Honolulu, HI 96817. Please note name of participant(s) in the memo.
Cancellations? Cancellation deadline is September 16. Substitutions will be accepted prior to the course. Cancellations must be received in writing and if mailing, must be postmarked on or before September 16. A $100 cancellation fee will be applied to cancellations received by September 8. After September 16, a $250 fee will be applied. HSC may cancel this course 3 business days prior to the start of the course due to insufficient enrollment or postponed if warranted by significant changes in COVID risk.
